One of her pet peeves is that when it’s time for me to buy pants or shorts I find a pair that I like, and buy a stack of them. Yes, I’m like that. So last year it was time to update the pants, the old ones were threadbare, and falling apart. I wanted some that would fit my ‘style’ and would do a far better job at helping me with my EDC needs than just about every other pair of pants could ever do. Lots of research brought me to many pants most specifically 5.11 and Blackhawk (which are very good pants for sure). My first pair I purchased from a local shop, and loved. So I began looking around a little a little more for various deals and I found a site that not only had the pants (and a lot of other gear I was looking for) but also one of their own making. Fast forward a year, and these pants have become my favorites, but here is where the story turns a little. Recently I had to travel to Boston for work. For a week long trip I did the usual lightweight packing with only one extra pair of pants for the week. Sadly in the middle of the second day, the zipper decided to stop working, despite a year of constant usage by me they had to pick that exact moment in time. That night I mentioned on twitter to the @LAPG account what had happened, and very quickly they responded with an offer to send out a replacement. Talk about excellent customer service! I’m happy to say that they’ve definitely won my business in the future, and my next “stack of pants” is from them as well.
