The Bonneville Forge Council (Utah’s Artist Blacksmith Association of North America group) Is hosting an introductory Blacksmithing course on April 20th. Mark your calendars. More information is below and at BFCSmiths
This is a one day blacksmithing course covering the basic skills needed for blacksmithing. If you are new to blacksmithing or want a little more practice and help with your skills, this class is for you. Some of the topics that will be covered in this course are: safety, ergonomics, shop layout, tools, equipment, drawing, punching, twisting, upsetting, tapers, riveting, cutting, bending, coal and gas forges. Projects that will be completed: simple tongs, dutch oven lifter and dutch oven trivet.
Two students per anvil and forge; 1-4 students per instructor.
There will be limited space so if interested register early.

Time: 8:30 – 3:00
Cost: $70 per student with current BFC membership, $65 per student with current family membership (2 attendees). This includes all materials and fuel.
