While Utah has a high percentage of LDS members, we avoid posting LDS only events. Although a number of events are hosted in LDS meeting houses, we prefer to get the word out and provide resources to anyone interested in preparing themselves and their family. Anyone is welcome to attend this event.

Thanks for providing the flyer–some great information on it even if you can’t make the presentation. :)

Very interesting handout with a lot of good information.
Just a few observations:
1. The self-stored food pack is pretty strict in its variety. Appetite fatigue is a danger.
2. Having a quality water filter, like the AquaRain might make more sense than storing your own water. It will filter lake, pond or puddle water safely, and up to 20,000 gallons. Enough to share with others. See http://www.internet-grocer.net/aqua.htm
3. Modern-day canned foods will store FAR longer than their expiry dates indicate. Two times in our history, canned foods have been found that were over 100 years old, and found to be still edible (though not pretty). See the stories at http://www.internet-grocer.net/how-long.htm

We just became a distributor for several Long-term food storage companies, including THRIVE brands. If any of you are interested in discounted or group pricing, feel free to contact me. [email protected] THRIVE doesn’t have the biggest selection, but they have an overall fantastic product and usually have stock available. Who’s excited for the new RED DAWN?!!
